Arsenal have been linked with German midfielder Sami Khedira for large parts of the summer, with Spanish reports suggesting the club have agreed a fee to sign him, and are in talks over personal terms.

Wenger has remained very reserved with his comments regarding a move for the Real Madrid man and when asked about a possible move again today, Wenger said he wouldn’t rule a move out.

The Frenchman said: “I don’t want to give you any names.

We are not close to signing anybody at the moment.”

Wenger did however deny any claims that the club were still pursuing Mario Balotelli and he also denied rumours that Juan Fernando Quintero was flying in to sign for the club.

Wenger has already secured the signings of Mathieu Debuchy, Alexis Sanchez, Calum Chambers and David Ospina however the need for a CDM remains at large for the London club, as they near the start of the new Premier League campaign.
