Arsenal boss hints at 3 summer signings
Arsene Wenger has hinted that Arsenal could sign 3 new players in this summer’s transfer window.
Wenger was heavily criticised for signing no outfield players last summer, but his team still managed to pip Spurs to second yesterday on the final day of the season.
Wenger signed Egypt international Mohamed Elneny in an £8m deal from Swiss champions Basel in the January transfer window and the 23-year-old has proven a big hit at The Emirates.
“I must say, we want to combine technical stability with players that we know want to play and know our game.
“Maybe bring in three players for example. That’s the right level for me.”
Despite grabbing 2nd, Arsenal finished 10 points behind champions Leicester City, in a season where they looked like they could take the title at Christmas.
The north London outfit finished the season without a trophy after Arsenal made premature exits in the Champions League and the FA Cup.
