Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to spend big, on five big names as he attemps to overhaul his squad in the summer.

Wenger’s Arsenal are currently sitting top of the Premier League with 14 games to play following Sunday’s 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.

It now appears the French manager is set to raid some of Europe’s top clubs for their prized assets.

The Gunners broke thir transfer record last summer, following the ÂŁ42 million transfer of Mesut Ozil, however, the Arsenal still have a substancial amount left in the kitty.

Wenger has publically stated his interest in Dortmund fullback Lukasz Piszczek, who could fill the role should Bacary Sagna leave North London.

He is a Polish international team-mate of Gunners keeper Woijech Szczesny, and maybe tempted to London through the keeper.

The Arsenal manager has also set his sights on a proven centre forward, something that the Gunners missed out on in January.

Wenger could chose between Manchester City’s out of favour striker Edin Dzeko, who would be a superb signing.

Arsenal have also been linked with Atletico Madrid’s highly rated centre forward Diego Costa, who has been linked with several Premier League clubs.

FC Porto’s rising star Jackson Martinez is also being watched close by Wenger as well as FC Bayern Munich striker Mario Madzukic, with Arsenal set to renew their long term interest.

Wenger was keen on making a renewed bid to sign midfielder Yohan Cabaye ahead of next season, but he has joined Paris St Germain, in a lucrative deal.

Julian Draxler is also of interest, with the Gunners coming very close in capturing the german, however, in a bizarre twist, Bayern Munich stopped the move.
