West Bromwich Albion are set to sign Joleon Lescott.
The Baggies are in advanced talks with the experienced centre back, who left Manchester City last month.
Lescott, aged 31 only played ten games for City last season, and is set to become Alan Irvine’s first signing for the club.
The former England international spent five years at City, forming a superb partnership with skipper Vincent Kompany.
Stoke City are keen on Lescott, with Steve Bruce at Hull also keen.
Prior to his spell at Manchester City, Lescott enjoyed spells at Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
