The Hammers could be prepared to break their transfer record for the 26-year old

West Ham are reportedly considering a surprising bid for Arsenal’s Theo Walcott.

The 26-year old has made 33 appearances in total for the Gunners so far this season, bagging six goals, while also impressing for his country on international duty too.

However, after ten years and over 200 games for the club, it could be time for a change for the winger/forward. West Ham could provide that change, with the Hammers willing to break their current club transfer record to bring the player to the club, according to reports.

West Ham battling for Europe

West Ham are currently having a tremendous season and currently in contention for a spot in Europe and not just the Europa League either but potentially the Champions League. The club are currently sat in fifth place and are just two points away from claiming a top four spot.

They’ll be eager to bring in some fresh faces if they do get into Europe, as it means more games for them. Walcott is one of the targets they are interested in bringing in and the money from qualifying for Europe could mean that they could launch a rather large £26m bid for Walcott.

Could the 26-year old’s time at Arsenal soon be up?
