Four games into the 2018/19 season, West Ham United were at the bottom of the Premier League having lost all of them on the trot.
Manuel Pellegrini quickly worked his way around to prop the team up to the 9th spot during the busy winter period. The Hammers are on a 4-game winning streak now and the fans cannot help but sing praises of every United player, especially Michail Antonio.
The 29-year-old winger finally ended his goal drought against Cardiff on 5th December and helped his side to a 3-1 victory. He also scored the second against Fulham last weekend to his team through a 0-2 win.
With the Pellegrini effect taking over, the Hammers are finally starting to hit their stride in the English top flight. Felipe Anderson and Robert Snodgrass collectively have become massive components in creating the team’s attack.
Fabian Balbuena seems to be a steal next to Issa Diop and the two have already formed a solid partnership at the back.
With Javier Hernandez managing to remain healthy, Pellegrini finally has a chance to rest star forward, Marko Arnautovic.
West Ham still has to face Southampton and Burnley away from home during the new year period. Their latest run of form and majorly healthy squad gives them an advantage going into the busy December schedule.
