West Ham United are looking to buy a new striker in the shape of Diego Forlan. In the January window Sam Allardyce will be looking at least one new striker. Andy Caroll is injured so all he has is Carlton Cole & Mladen Petric. Allardyce is unsure whether Forlan will be interested in a move so close to the World Cup. The Uruguayan international has had a mixed season at Internacional with 11 apearances and 5 goals.

Internacional are at risk of being relegated. The unexperienced U-20 coach Clemer is in charge as their manager was sacked. The 34 year old had three unsuccessful seasons with Manchester United which he them moved to Villareal and then to Atletico Madrid for 21 million euros. The striker played his best football at Atletico Madrid winning the Europa League.

He moved to the Brazilian club Internacional after an unsuccessful stint in Italy with Inter Milan.
