West Ham United have extended Mark Noble’s stay as they triggered the one year extension clause in the contract.

The midfielder’s deal was supposed to end in 2020 but the London giants decided to activate the option and the 31 year old will now be seen at the club till 2021. Noble came through the Hammers academy and has been a loyal servant of the club since bursting into the senior team setup.

With just only four games remaining to touch the 450 figure it would be a big boost for Noble who has been quite regular this term making 11 appearances under new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The Hammers have registered three back to back wins in the Premier league and will be looking forward to maintaining their winning run when they take on Fulham.

West Ham released a statement : “West Ham United are delighted to confirm that the Club and Mark Noble have activated an option that will see the captain’s contract extended until 2021.

Noble said, “It was an option in my contract that I signed a few years ago now, and it’s an extra year, which is fantastic for me and my family. I’ve been at this club all my life so it takes me to the end of my career.

“I’ve always said I wanted to be at this club and I think we’re moving in the right direction, so it was the right time to do it.”
