According to recent reports, West Ham United target, Gabriel Barbosa is keen on moving to the Premier League and taking a second go at European football.

The Brazilian striker signed with Inter Milan ahead of the 2016/17 season but struggled to establish himself in the first team. Since then, he has spent two spells out on loan with Benfica and his former club, Santos FC.

He has represented Brazil at senior level on 4 occasions and is still only 22 years old. He is still highly regarded in his home nation despite his failed move to the San Siro. Gabriel finished last season with 20 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions which has kept up his value to ÂŁ20m according to Inter.

His contract with the Nerazzurri is set to last till the summer of 2021 but his chances of breaking into Luciano Spaletti’s squad looks to be slim. Gabriel is a versatile forward with a remarkable left-foot.

With Andriy Yarmolenko out for the season and Andy Carroll still facing time on the sidelines, Manuel Pellegrini is looking to add more offensive power into the Hammers squad.

Gabriel’s obvious talents which never saw the light of the day while in the Italian capital could be unfurled at the London Stadium. However, there happens to be a hiccup in the potential move of the Brazilian to East London.

West Ham will have to acquire a work permit for Gabigol which is proven to be difficult at the moment.
