You would expect the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to top this list.
But stats show that this actually, is not the case — With Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez finding himself way down the pile in THIRTY-SECOND.
Even though Sanchez has scored 18 goals in 27 appearances this season, his work rate is not quite what many fans would expect, given his impressive scoring-rate.
Sanchez covers just 9.10km on average and that puts him way down the table of Premier League strikers, behind the likes of Shinji Okazaki, Ashley Barnes, Fabio Borini, and-.. Peter Crouch?
According to the stats, Peter Crouch covers more ground than ANY Premier League striker so far this season.
Liverpool man Roberto Firmino finds himself in fifth, which is still much higher than Arsenal’s star Chilean.
It has been a source of great frustration to Arsene Wenger this season, and an issue pointed out by fans, that some of the players do not work hard enough.
Most Arsenal fans however usually exclude Sanchez from this, but these stats might just show that Sanchez may be just as guilty as the rest of Wengers side of not putting in a good shift.
