Ed Woodward is the reason behind Dutchman keeping his job

Manchester United haven’t sacked Louis van Gaal because of Ed Woodward, according to reports.

The Dutchman has been under heavy scrutiny in recent months, and it intensified further following their humiliating 2-1 defeat in the Europa League on Thursday.

However, United have still kept faith in Van Gaal and are still not ready to sack him, and according to reports, that’s because of Woodward.

According to reports, Woodward doesn’t want to sell the manager because he doesn’t want to accept the fact he made another wrong appointment.

Woodward Reluctant

United sacked David Moyes just months after his appointment and they could now be sacking Van Gaal, meaning they’ve hired and fired two bosses since Sir Alex Ferguson‘s retirement a few years ago.

Several senior members at Old Trafford are ready to chop the manager, but Woodward has the final say on the hiring and firing, and he doesn’t want to pull the trigger just yet.

It’s believed Jose Mourinho will take over in the summer, but that would result in Woodward firing Van Gaal, as his current deal still has one year left to run.

It’s reported that Van Gaal now has three games to save his job.
