As Mourinho comtemplates a buy in Radamel Falcao he is thinking of selling of the poor performing Fernando Torres. He is either going to involve him in an exchange deal or he will put the money gained from his selling to a potential ÂŁ52 mil bid for Falcao. When playing for Liverpool he had a rather impressive record with them scoring 65 goals in just over 100 appearances thus impressing Chelsea.

The club had high hopes for the player when signed for a staggering ÂŁ50 mil however he didn’t live up to expectations after only scoring 16 goals in 90 appearances. He’s been with the blues for nearly 3 years and his form doesn’t look like it’s going to pick up and his recent injury wont help his case come january. Being in poor form so long has put him at risk of losing his place at the club as he isn’t looking like he’s worth ÂŁ50 mil. He has already lost his place as the main striker to Samuel Eto’o and it’s only a matter of time before he loses his spot with the london team altogether.

Samuel Eto’o isn’t bringing goals either and after only being at the club for a few months he may lose his spot as main striker already to an inform Radamel Falcao. The columbian international hasn’t been playing in the french league long as has already made an impression on the blues coach after scoring 9 goals in 13 appearances. Chelsea have four perfectly capable strikers in Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o, Demba Ba & Romelu Lukaku, 3 of which are underperforming and Romelu Lukaku who is in hot form, is on loan to Everton and may not be interested in playing for Mourinho’s side after being loaned out for 2 season’s in a row.
