Chelsea winger Willian said that he would have left the club had Antonio Conte stayed. Conte was sacked as Chelsea manager last month. There were speculations that Willian would leave Chelsea but he didn’t do so.

However, now it seems that if Conte was still the manager, Willian would have left. When asked if he would have continued to play under Conte, Willian replied, “No chance. No. I’m here because I want to play for Chelsea. I will only leave if Chelsea want me to go.”

The Brazilian started in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Huddersfield, assisting N’Golo Kante’s goal.

Chelsea’s next league game is against Arsenal at home. The Blues last defeated Arsenal on 4th February, 2017. Since then, six matches have been played and Chelsea won none. However, Willian feels that they can end that streak on Saturday.
He said, “I think we have a good chance to turn the results around against them because now we have a different way to play football. The manager tells us to play, to enjoy ourselves on the pitch, with responsibility. Now we have a different style, that’s why we can create problems for Arsenal.”
