Axel Witsel believes that Jadon Sancho can excel at Borussia Dortmund and can become one of the best wingers in the world. Sancho is one of the most talented youngsters in world football at present. He gained prominence after his performances in the U17 World Cup in India last year.

Sancho scored three goals and provided two assists during the group stages of the tournament. Unfortunately, he played no further part during the tournament as Borussia Dortmund withdrew him. England eventually won the tournament by beating Spain in the final at Kolkata.

Sancho’s performances for Borussia Dortmund this season have been really impressive. Sancho has scored a goal and has provided 6 assists in 214 minutes of Bundesliga football. His performances resulted in a maiden call-up to the England side. Sancho made his international debut in a Nations League fixture against Croatia on Friday, thus becoming the first 21st century-born player to represent England.

Sancho’s Borussia Dortmund teammate Axel Witsel has praised him and thinks that he can do much better at Dortmund. Witsel said, “He’s really talented, he’s fast, technical and a good guy also. With us [Dortmund] he’s doing really well. I think if he stays like this and keeps working hard he can become one of the best wingers in the world.”

Witsel also talked about the departure of Belgium’s assistant coach Thierry Henry who will leave the team to become Monaco manager. He said, “It’s sad for us. But I think everybody knew before that Thierry wanted to be a coach. This is football and we are happy to have had him for two years. He brought a lot of experience, he was close to the players and speaking all the time with us. I think now he is ready and it is the right time for him to be a coach.”
