The Daily Mail claims that Wolves are currently rivalling a number of Championship and Premier League teams for the signing of Birmingham City forward, Che Adams.

The 22-year-old has netted the ball on 13 occasions for City in the English second division with his contract set to run till June 2022. Adams was scouted by as many as 12 English sides in the 2-1 defeat against Middlesbrough last weekend.

He is on pace to become the first Blues player to score 20 goals or more in a single season since Steve Claridge in 1995. The Englishman also has two caps for his country’s U20 side.

With his pace and technical abilities, one can almost call Adams a complete striker. He scores a variety of goals and has all the tools to make into the big leagues.

Wolves have recently agreed to send Leo Bonatini out on loan to Greek outfit, PAOK FC for the remainder of the season. That leaves only Raul Jimenez as the outright number nine in Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

The Wanderers have been impressive in their first season back in the top-flight. Currently, the team sits in the 11th spot of the Premier League, just 3 points behind 7th-placed Watford.

While Jimenez can be depended on to start most games, a backup option is highly necessary if Wolves plan on finishing nearer to the European qualification spots this term.
