Liverpool forward Xherdan Shaqiri feels they can continue from where they left off prior to the international break. The Reds have had a wonderful start to the season winning all of their first four matches in the Premier League.
The Swiss international hasn’t featured profusely so far except a couple of cameo appearances this season since his summer transfer from Stoke City but is expected to play a larger role as the season gets to the busy mode in September.
The Reds are scheduled to entertain Chelsea twice this month courtesy to the Carabao Cup draw. Jurgen Klopp’s side are also set to be tested in the Champions League as they will take on Paris Saint Germain and Napoli to kick start their European campaign.
Shaqiri feels he is ready to face the big test in coming days. “I’m looking forward to the game, especially now [because] in the next few weeks we have a lot of games, a lot of good games, difficult games. But we will try to keep our good performances and I hope we can win a lot of games.
“We train hard every day. You can see that there is a lot of quality in our team and we are hard-working every day. And competition in football is also good for the players.”
