Zaha set for Newcastle switch

Last season Wilfred Zaha made a big money transfer to Manchester United from Crystal Palace who at the time was in the Championship. He remained at Palace for the remainder of the season and scored twice in their semi final play off against rivals Brighton and has also gained two senior caps for England.

However Zaha has only appeared in two Premier League games under David Moyes and this has sparked rumours he may go out on loan in January to gain more first team opportunities. Newcastle is the team that seem set to take the young winger on loan.

“Manager Alan Pardew, who has one domestic loan up his sleeve to add to QPR striker Loic Remy, wants the England international until the end of the season.

Newcastle was in the running to sign the 21-year-old from Crystal Palace last season but was blown out of the bidding when United offered Palace £15million.”

Manchester United have struggled in finding a player this season to perform well on the wing with the likes of Ashley Young, Nani and Antonio Valencia struggling to make the position their own. However Zaha has not been trusted by Moyes to compete for these places, Newcastle may be what Zaha needs to get the momentum in his career back.
