Zaha set for Palace return

Wilfired Zaha looks ready for a second stint at former club Crystal Palace.

It has been revealed that Palace are willing to pay a ÂŁ2 million pound fee to secure Zaha on a season long-loan in time for the start of the Premier League.

This means that the likes of West Ham, QPR, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are all likely to miss out on the wanted winger.

Palace have made it known that if the opportunity were to arise, they would be keen on taking Zaha on a permanet basis.

Zaha burst onto the scene with the Eagles two years ago and was sold to United in a ÂŁ15m deal in January 2013 before being loaned back to the south London club for the remainder of the season.

And former Palace boss Dougie Freedman believes United would be making a mistake to let Zaha leave.

He said yesterday: “It is difficult for young players when you are moving home for the first time and difficult to try and settle in.

“The expectation levels are also a lot higher with a club like United. But he is a talented boy, Sir Alex saw that and paid a lot of money for him.

“That talent doesn’t leave you. Temporarily it can leave you during spells in your career. But I am pretty sure he will bounce back for United.”
