Real boss admits ‘it would be difficult’ to complete move

Real Madrid boss Zinadine Zidane has admitted that completing a move for Cesc Fabrgas ‘would be difficult’.

The midfielder has been linked with a move away from Chelsea and to the Bernabau over the last few days.

The midfielder is believed to have been offered to Real, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

But Madrid boss Zidane believes a deal for the former Arsenal midfielder would be complicated.

“If you want to put another central midfielder into the mix then it becomes complicated,” Zidane said after Madrid’s 5-3 friendly win over Stade de Reims last night.

“Cesc is a great player but it is not very straightforward.

“I am going to end up with a squad where three or four players do not get selected.

“To therefore put another player in there makes it difficult.”

Speculation surrounding the Spaniard’s future at Stamford Bridge grew on Monday night after he was left on the bench for Chelsea’s 2-1 win over West Ham.
