Zidane’s former club teammate says which club will be a challenge for him

Zinedine ZIdane’s former club teammate Igor Tudor feels that managing Juventus can be a challenge for Zinedine Zidane. Zidane left his job as Real Madrid manager only days after the cub won their 13th Champions League title. Lately, the Frenchman is a heavy favorite to become Manchester United’s manager.

Manchester United have started this season very poorly and Jose Mourinho has come under immense criticism because of his tactics. Earlier, there were reports that Mourinho would be sacked after Manchester United’s match against Newcastle. However, the club denied these claims. Manchester United eventually came back from 2-0 to win the match 3-2.

However, there are still doubts regarding Mourinho’s job and Zidane is heavily favored to succeed Mourinho. Zidane has also been linked to Bayern Munich after four successive matches without a win has led Niko Kovac to come under scrutiny.

However, Igor Tudor feels that Juventus can be a major challenge for Zizou. Tudor said, “Zidane back to Juventus? After winning everything, there is a real possibility that this will happen. Zizou will want to show that he is a great coach even away from Madrid.  Juventus could be an important challenge.”

Another reason why Tudor thinks Juventus is an interesting project for Zidane is because of the profuseness of talent in the club. He said, “Ronaldo is very hungry, while [Mario] Mandzukic has great qualities and complements the Portuguese greatly. I like to see great champions play together, and there is also [Paulo] Dybala and Douglas Costa. In Turin, there is something special.”

Juventus have been doing really well under current manager Massimiliano Allegri as they have won all of their matches this season so far. Hence, it will be difficult for Zidane to become Juventus manager in the immediate future. The only thing that may propel Juventus to sack Allegri and sign Zidane could be the hunger of a Champions League triumph. While Allegri hasn’t won the Champions League for the Bianconeri during his four-year stay, Zidane won the Champions League every season during his stay at Real Madrid.
