Zinedine Zidane is happy with his current set of players but didn’t rule any more arrivals.

Real Madrid have been silent this transfer window, making no new signings despite parting ways with Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Reguilon.

Zidane’s team looked short and light on firepower in their season opener draw against Real Sociedad.

He was then asked on Friday if he wants to bring in a centre-forward before the transfer window closes next month

“Anything can happen until October 5, Zidane said.

“That’s what interests you (the media), but I’m happy with my squad. I have complete trust in it.

“We will work to be in good shape physically and if we are well prepared, we can compete and achieve our objectives, which is to win.”

He then added: “This is the squad I have and I won’t ask for anyone else,” said the Frenchman.

“Everyone wants to know who is going to come but I’m content with my squad. We’re going to work hard to get in the right shape so we can achieve the objectives we have set ourselves.

“Anything could happen but right now like all other coaches I want the transfer window to shut as soon as possible, all we want to do is talk about matches.”
