New Real Madrid manager wants Chelsea star at Bernabeu

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is keen on signing Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Frenchman has taken over at the Bernabeu following the club’s decision to sack Rafael Benitez following a below-par start to the La Liga season.

Benitez has left Madrid third in the table and four points off fierce-rivals Atletico Madrid, and following a 2-2 draw with Valencia, Florentino Perez decided a change was needed.

With Zidane now the manager, he’s set to take charge of transfers and his dream signing is Chelsea‘s Hazard, and he’s previously admitted he admires him as a player.

Zidane Wants Hazard

Zidane is known to be a massive fan of Hazard, and similarly Hazard is a massive admirer of the former-midfielder, so a transfer could be set to take place over the summer, with the Belgian keen to leave Stamford Bridge.

Reports have already suggested that Hazard has told close friends and family that he wants to leave the Premier League, and Madrid would be his dream destination.

The transfer is likely to wait until the summer however, once it’s decided what’s happening with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
