Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he believes Gareth Bale could struggle at his new club Real Madrid and has admitted that he will come under a lot of pressure at the Bernabeu.
The Welshman finally completed his move from Tottenham to Madrid for a transfer record fee of £85.3million, and he is now being labelled as the one of the best players in the world.
Bale could be set to make his Spanish debut on Saturday when his new club take on Villareal, but a former-La Liga star, Ibrahimovic, believes the former-Spurs player could struggle in Spain because of the pressure.
“No footballer is worth paying that amount of money for,” said Ibrahimovic, 31.
“There is a lot of pressure on him.”
Ibrahimovic then added: “I know that when (France’s three-time world footballer of the year) Zinedine Zidane played for Madrid, the fans were whistling against him.
“If they can whistle against Zidane, for me one of the best players in history, I hope Bale has a lot of patience.”
