AC Milan new boy Zlatan has revealed he had more offers than he did at 28!!

The Swedish legend has always made a huge deal of his transfer and sort of become a semi-comical semi-legendary figure in football. He recently came from the States and kept everybody in the dark where he would end up before returning to Milan, where he scored 56 goals from 2010 to 2012.

“I feel the expectations, I have a good relationship with the fans,” the 38-year-old told reporters. “After my last game for Galaxy, [Paolo] Maldini called me. We talked about how I was feeling, as well as some general things.

“At 38 I’ve had more offers than I did when I was 28. I was looking for the adrenaline inside me, to get the most out of myself. Milan gave me back my happiness to play football after Barcelona. I come here to improve things.

“I’ve seen the team from the outside. We’re thinking one game at a time and the team have quality. Milan is always Milan, history doesn’t change. The team is perhaps not as before, but after Berlusconi many things happened.

“We can’t always be the same, your physique and level of experience changes, but your confidence doesn’t. ’ll be myself, my teammates know what I’m like. Not everyone likes to suffer, but I do and for this I always work hard.

“Everyone expects results. More needs to be done. If you play for Milan it’s not out of luck but rather to deliver results.

Opinion

Zlatan’s move is certainly one of the bigger moves in the window however will it be impactful?

Well to be honest if we think from the point of view of AC Milan, Zlatan is a big buy. He will help the club. Milan are a club who have done great historically. However, recently their status has shrunk. They are not faring well in Europe. They are suffering in Serie A as well. Zlatan’s goal scoring ability and leadership quality will definitely come in handy for a team who need some guidance and ship steadying.

Zlatan’s move from his point of view we do not think will be the biggest hit. He will not have great service. He will not be able to score as much as he could have had he joined Juventus. He is a player who likes to lead and make big impacts. However, at Milan Zlatan might fall short of that. So what do you think?
