Howedes plays down talk of Arsenal move.

0

Benedikt Howedes has distanced himself from a move to Arsenal this summer but claimed he could be interested at some point in the future. The German has been linked to the Gunners this past week, with boss Arsene Wenger keen on bringing in a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen, who has moved to Barcelona.

But even though there IS a release clause in the player’s contract, the Schalke man claims he is not considering leaving the club this month. He said:

“There will always be rumours, especially when you have won the World Cup. I have not directly heard from those clubs, but my management does not tell me everything anyway.

“Currently, I don’t get too busy with it. I know that I have responsibilities here.”

However, Howedes went on to admit that when the time is right, he would consider a move abroad. He added:

“If I did not love Schalke, I would not have been here for 13 years now. But I have also said that it would be tempting to play abroad one day and learn a new language, have a different surrounding and settle at a new club.

“I leave it open for now when this will be. It does not have to happen now, and also not next year.”

Di Maria prefers a move to the Premier League as it’s more exciting that Ligue 1.

Toure said: ‘I am still at Liverpool. I had talks with the coach who clearly indicated I am part of his plans.’

Benatia staying at Roma

0

Mehdi Benatia has reportedly ruled out a move away from Roma this summer, despite interest from numerous Prem clubs.

Man United, Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been linked with the Morocco international over the course of the summer. The Blues have recently ruled themselves out of the running, and The Red Devils were believed to be leading the chase and close to a deal but, according to ESPN, Benatia has told fans at his side’s training camp in Austria to ‘relax’ as he will be ‘staying put’.

Roma boss Rudi Garcia has already dismissed the idea of selling the defender this transfer window. He told reporters:

“As far as I can see he has a four-year contract and that’s all that needs to be said.”

So it looks like the 27-year old could be staying put in Serie A for another season, if this is anything to go by.

‘Chelsea will miss me’, says Luiz

0

Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz believes former-club, Chelsea, will miss him this season.

The Brazilian completed his mega-move from England to France earlier in the Summer after the two clubs reached an agreement worth £50million, and the centre-back believes the Premier League club will miss his him.

Speaking in a recent interview, Luiz has claimed he isn’t arrogant about his abilities, but he’s just confident in what he can bring to a club.

He said: “I have to believe that Chelsea or any team will miss me.

“I’m not arrogant but I’m confident in my own abilities.

“Paris paid a lot for me so they obviously believe in me – it is nice to be at a club where they really want you and where they show belief in you.”

Luiz’s departure was reinvested quickly by Jose Mourinho, as he brought in; Filipe Luis, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa, all from Spanish sides.

Despite saying Chelsea will miss him, Luiz has also admitted that he will miss them as well.

He said: “I have good memories of Chelsea. I won the Champions League.

“I hope it’s not my only victory. I believe I can win it again with Paris.

“I have as much chance of winning major trophies here as at Chelsea or any other club in Europe.”

Liverpool receive Lavezzi boost

0

Lavezzi has struggled to nail down a regular position in the PSG starting line-up since his switch from Napoli and amongst the claims that the Argentine could leave the Parc des Princes this summer, the Parisiens offered him a new contract.

But reports from Italy have claimed that Levzzi’s agent, turned the offer down during a meeting in the French capital and now the angry club are looking to offload him, with Liverpool the main contenders for signing him.

The Anfield side have reportedly already made a £17.9m bid on the winger and now look set to complete the move, with both Lavezzi and PSG keen for a departure.

Juventus and Inter have also both been linked with the Argentine but it is thought that the two clubs are only interested in a loan deal, whilst PSG are looking for a permanent deal, which Liverpool are happy to go along with.

Liverpool will look to add the Ligue 1 star to Rickie Lambert, Adam lallana, Emre can, Dejan Lovren, Lazar Markovic and Divock Origi, who have all made the Anfield swtich this summer.

Arsenal and Chelsea target being forced out of club

0

Arsenal and Chelsea have been handed a boost in their hunt for Sami Khedira, as Real Madrid have told the midfielder to leave the club this Summer.

The German international only has one year left on his current contract, and with the two parties miles away in wage-demands, the Spanish side are desperate to sell him this year, rather than lose him for free next year.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have shown interest in the midfielder, but neither of them have agreed to meet his demands, which are reportedly around £250k-a-week.

According to reports, Jose Mourinho has told Khedira to stay put at the Bernabeu this Summer, and move to Stamford Bridge next season on a free, but Madrid are keen to force him out soon so that they can get a transfer fee for him.

Liverpool dealt triple transfer blow

0

Liverpool have been dealt a serious transfer blow as THREE of their targets have rejected the approaches of Brendan Rodgers.

It’s been reported by a BBC Sport journalist that Liverpool were interested in signing one of; Edinson Cavani, Radamel Falcao and Karim Benzema, but it’s believed that all three of them have declined the opportunity to move to Anfield.

The journalist tweeted yesterday claiming that The Reds had enquired about the availability for the strikers, but were met with a negative responce as Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco and Real Madrid all stated they had ‘no chance’ in signing them.

Liverpool are still looking for a new striker after Luis Suarez left for FC Barcelona, but Rodgers is going to have to look elsewhere.

Two names that have been thrown around are Samuel Eto’o and Wilfried Bony, and the same BBC reporter claimed that Eto’o is an option, and that Liverpool are interested in Bony, but the players wage demands are too high.

Manchester United dealt a massive blow in the move for Marcos Rojo

0

As Doyen Sports own 75 per cent of Rojo’s sporting rights they are unhappy that the Lisbon club are stalling over accepting United’s offer for the player.

The investment group released a statement today accusing Sporting of shifting the goalposts in relation to a deal and saying the club are “making mindless demands as a condition of ‘releasing’ the player”.

Indeed, Doyen have called on Sporting to compensate them if they fail to accept United’s offer.

The statement claims that if “Sporting refuse to sell to United for the €20m (£16m) offered, the Portuguese club will be contractually bound to pay Doyen 75 percent of the value of the rejected bid. That €15m (£12m) would have to be paid within a fortnight.”

Sporting have since hit back at Doyen’s claims on Facebook with a statement of their own explaining their side of the situation.

Indeed, Sporting suggest that they have now terminated their agreement with Doyen “with just cause”.

A legal battle seems almost certain to ensue and unless a settlement can be agreed between the warring parties, United’s move could be under threat with just over two weeks remaining in the transfer window.

Liverpool open talks with Sampordria over World Cup star Sergio Romero

0

Liverpool have opened talks with Italian side Sampordria over World Cup star Sergio Romero. After seeing bids for David Marshall and Karl Darlow rejected, the Reds have continued their search for a keeper who will offer some competition for Simon Mignolet during the upcoming campaign.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Liverpool approached Sampordria last night over a deal for the Argentinian shot-stopper. The Serie A club have told Romero that he can leave this summer, despite his impressive showings at the recent World Cup, which contributed to Argentina’s reaching of the final.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Monaco but failed to break into the first team, however the showings at the World Cup have attracted much interest from Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. It is understood that Sampordria will be happy to let the Argentine go for a fee of around £2 million, but are also open to another loan deal.

Liverpool launch bid for Bakkali

0

Liverpool are plotting to steal Belgium’s “new Eden Hazard” Zakaria Bakkali. The 18 year old is almost out of contract at PSV Eindhoven and according to reports in Holland, he has no interest in a contract renewal.

PSV would rather sell the talented youngster in the remaining weeks of the transfer window, with Italian outlets claiming that Liverpool have made an offer for the highly rated Belgian.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Spanish champions Atletico Madrid are also believed to have offers awaiting for Bakkali, along with Italian giants Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan.

However, Arsene Wenger has also shown an interest in the youngster, and looks to make a late bid in order to acquire his services before Arsenal’s fight for the Premier League title begins.

PSV technical director Marcel Brands has admitted that he will listen to offers for Bakkali if there comes a time that the Belgian wants to leave.

Brands stated: “Whether Bakkali chooses to stay with us or a transfer, it is now clear what he must do.

“He can still extend his contract with us and then if he chooses to increase his efforts for PSV, with his heart and soul, that’s fine.

“If he chooses a transfer, I am also at peace with it.”
