Chelsea players out on loan this season (2025/26)
Chelsea is willing to sell a number of players, particularly those who were on loan during the previous campaign. It is against club policy to have a big number of loanees who are unlikely to crack the first squad.
Only one loanee, midfielder Andrey Santos, advanced into Enzo Maresca’s team from the previous season out of their 28-man Club World Cup roster.
Most of the others, including Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu, Joao Felix, Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Djordje Petrovic, Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling, and others, are for sale. As Kepa approaches the final year of his contract, the asking price is reportedly only £5 million, while Benfica is reportedly very interested in re-signing Felix.
In Sterling’s example, the winger made 12 appearances while on loan at Arsenal in North London last season, earning almost half of his current weekly salary of £300,000.
Alfie Gilchrist, Alex Matos, Leo Castledine, and Zak Sturge are among the EFL loanees that are considering permanent moves outside of Stamford Bridge.

Kendry Páez on loan to RC Strasbourg
Chelsea chose to sign Kendry Páez from Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle two years ago when he was just sixteen years old and already seemed destined for the first team. Naturally, those ambitions had changed slightly by the time the young midfield player turned eighteen, as FIFA regulations prohibited him from joining until then.
Kendry has now joined RC Strasbourg on loan, completing our maximum allowed three loanees (after Mike Penders and Mamadou Sarr), despite the fact that player progress is never linear. He had simply come to the US to see the Club World Cup (and train with the team).
Deivid Washington on loan at Santos FC
Young Deivid Washington, who attended the academy before agreeing to a deal with Chelsea a few years ago, has returned to his home team of Santos, as expected.
Santos’ 2025 season, which begins next month, is covered under the loan. It is rumored to include a break clause in the middle, which would coincide with our summer off-season. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Santos has formally declared that they have a buy option that they may exercise when the loan is over.
