Chelsea have been the dominant force in the 2026 summer transfer window, with their spending spree reaching nearly €257m following the club-record €138m signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

While Elliot Anderson has been one of the summer’s biggest talking points, he actually joined Manchester City from Nottingham Forest for £116m, not Chelsea.

The Blues have instead focused on their own blockbuster deals, bringing in Marco Palestra from Atalanta, Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP, and several other young prospects.

To offset this expenditure, Chelsea have generated around €132m from player sales, including Andrey Santos, Marc Cucurella, and Tyrique George.

Chelsea have been active in the 2026 summer transfer window, making several major signings.

The headline arrival is England international Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for a club-record and British-record fee of £117 million. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a six-year contract.

Rogers is Chelsea’s second summer signing, following the arrival of highly-rated Italian defender Marco Palestra from Atalanta.

Furthermore, the Blues have also added Portuguese winger Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP. These acquisitions are part of a squad rebuild under new manager Xabi Alonso.

To balance the books after this spending spree, Chelsea are expected to sell or loan out numerous players from their large senior squad.

Morgan Rogers – British record £117m signing from Aston Villa. A versatile, line-breaking No.10 who improves the starting XI immediately. Signed a six-year deal.

Danny Welbeck – Signed from Brighton for around £5m. The experienced striker provides veteran cover up front and has signed a two-year contract.

Maxence Lacroix – Signed from Crystal Palace for £52m. The centre-back strengthens the defensive line and has agreed a six-year contract.

Valentin Barco – Versatile 22-year-old Argentine international arrives from sister-club Strasbourg. A combative defender who can also operate in midfield, signed a seven-year deal.

Marco Palestra – Serie A Defender of the Year arrives from Atalanta for £47m. The 21-year-old right-back is Xabi Alonso’s first signing, with a long-term deal running until 2033.

Geovany Quenda – £40m Portuguese wonderkid winger from Sporting. Helped win a league and cup double last season and signed an eight-year deal.

Emmanuel Emegha – 22-year-old Dutch striker from sister-club Strasbourg. Scored 14 Ligue 1 goals last season and joins on a seven-year contract.

Denner – 18-year-old Brazilian left-back from Corinthians. An exciting long-term prospect signed for around £8.5m on a seven-year deal.

Dastan Satpayev – 17-year-old Kazakh wonderkid dubbed “the next Sergio Agüero.” Joins from Kairat Almaty once he turns 18 in August 2026.

Giulia Dragoni – Italian women’s international midfielder signed from Barcelona. The highly rated teenager has agreed a four-year deal with the Chelsea women’s team.
