When fit, Kompany is perhaps the best Premier League goal scoring defender currently playing. His leadership and attacking presence are second to none, he’s a top top player, but his injury problems are causing him difficulties.
7) Steve Bruce
Bruce was an excellent defender for Manchester United and was a great goalscorer for the club. He scored 36 goals in 309 appearances.
