The former Italian defender Bergomi is the top player with most games in the Europa League. Giuseppe Bergomi played for only Inter Milan during his football career spending twenty years at the club, scoring 28 goals in his 756 games for Internazionale. He scored six goals in his Italian caps.
Surprisingly, Bergomi didn’t score any goal in Europe, but won three UEFA Cups/Europa League titles with his club and since then, he has set a record of 96 appearances in the Europa League. This record is still unreachable and it is set to remain intact for the several next Europa League seasons.
