4. Wilfried Bony
The Ivory Coast international is a free agent after his Swansea contract expired in June. As a result, Wilfried Bony is training with League Two side Newport. It remains to be seen whether Newport can pull off what would be a massive coup. The player is hoping his stint at League Two club Newport County will prepare him for a possible move to Italy or Turkey.
Bony, who spent the second half of last season on loan in Qatar with Al-Arabi, has been in Africa Cup of Nations action over the summer. He made four appearances and scored four goals for the Ivory Coast in the African Nations over the summer as they reached the quarter-final. Bony has an impressive CV including spells at Stoke and Manchester City.
3. Fabio Coentrao
It never quite worked out for the 52-time Portugal international at Real Madrid after relocating to the Bernabeu from Benfica with high expectations in 2011 but, at just 31, the seasoned defender would still be a tidy piece of business for any middling club.
He left the Spanish capital to return to boyhood club Rio Ave in 2018, but both parties went their separate ways this summer and, so, the buccaneering full-back is now on the hunt for his next adventure, though he recently made an last-minute transfer U-turn on Greek outfit PAOK, so he remains up for grabs. They were set to tie him down to a two-year deal, only for the 31-year to cancel the deal at the last moment.
