7. Dennis Mortimer
Well, if you are a team captain and you guide your team to both the league title and the European cup you as well deserve a call up to represent your country. Unfortunately, for Dennis Mortimer, he was never called up to represent his country not even a single time for England. The Liverpool-born midfielder played 600 games scoring 47 times in his career in the Football League, he notably played for Aston Villa where he captained the team for seven years and the club were the Champions of Europe and England.
Dennis played for both the England under 23’s and the B team but was never a full international.
