Team News, Predictions, Previews, Live free streams and Starting Line-ups for Chelsea vs Tottenham – FA Cup semi-final.

Fans this weekend will be treated to a top of the table Premier League clash in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Chelsea and Tottenham have been drawn to face each other and the two sides will face off this Saturday for a place in the final at Wembley.

The Blues go into this game off the back of a humbling 2-0 loss to Man United over Easter. Chelsea still lead the Premier League table by four points but the pressure is now well and truly on Antonio Conte’s side, with Spurs closing the gap on them.

It should be a close one in the battle for the Premier League title and even though the game this weekend isn’t in the Premier League, the winner of this match could very well gain a mental advantage over their opponents which could help in the race for the title. Or, it could spur the losing side on to go and smash it in the league.

It’s sure to be a closely fought and intriguing contest no matter which way it goes.

Chelsea vs Tottenham – FA Cup Key Stat

Tottenham have won six of their last seven matches in the FA Cup and have scored at least three goals in their last three FA Cup games too.

It’s a stat that is bound to worry Antonio Conte and Blues’ fans too and it shows just how good Spurs have been this season. They’ll be a tough side for Chelsea to beat, as they are certainly capable of scoring against the best teams and are sturdy in defence too.

Spurs will be desperate to secure some kind of silverware this season to top off what has been a tremendous campaign. If they can’t get the league title, then they’ll be gunning for the FA Cup and they’ll want to keep up this good run of goalscoring and winning FA Cup games this weekend.

It won’t be as easy as in other rounds of course but Chelsea have every right to be a little worried based off these stats.

Chelsea vs Tottenham – FA Cup Predicted Line-Ups

Spurs should still be without key defender Danny Rose, while Harry Winks and Erik Lamela are also unavailable. For Chelsea, they’re a lot better squad wise. Even though both Courtois and Alonso didn’t play for the Blues at the weekend, both could be back in contention this weekend.

Chelsea predicted line up vs Tottenham : Courtois, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Luiz, Moses, Matic, Kante, Alonso, Pedro, Hazard, Costa.

Tottenham predicted line up vs Chelsea: Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dembele, Dier, Eriksen, Son, Alli, Kane.

Chelsea vs Tottenham – FA Cup Key Players

Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – Hazard had a relatively quiet game against Man United over the weekend and Chelsea will be hoping he has more of an impact in this game. The Belgium international has had a brilliant season so far and is able to change games on his own with his skills, dribbling and finishing.

Hazard is one of those players who, on his best day, can create a chance for his team out of nothing. Whether he’s scoring or setting up a teammate, he is a valuable player to have and if he grabs hold of the game and takes it by the scruff of the neck himself, he could dictate the game and make sure it goes Chelsea’s way this weekend. He is certainly capable of doing just that.

Dele Alli (Tottenham) – Alli is another player who has had a fantastic season. Playing in a more attacking midfield role he has thrived, despite being just 21-years old and only two seasons ago playing for MK Dons in League 1!

He, like Hazard, is like a predator and can snatch a goal even from half-chances. He’s banged 19 goals in the net in all competitions so far this season and he’ll be hoping to add to that this weekend. His creative ability and link-up with Harry Kane and Eriksen and Son alongside him is also superb and it means that the four will all work and create chances for each other. The four will be a threat and if Alli has a good game, then he could be the deciding factor in Spurs’ favour.

Chelsea vs Tottenham – FA Cup SS Prediction

This game is sure to be a close one. Both teams are battling at the right end of the Premier League and both sides are also going to be desperate to book their place in the FA Cup final to get the chance to try and secure some silverware.

Both sides have players that can control the game but I feel like Tottenham could have the advantage in this fixture. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are simply desperate to grab some silverware and I can see them seeing off Chelsea in this tie, but only just.

Chelsea will want to bounce back from their defeat against Man United but Spurs have been playing some attractive, attacking football and although Conte sets up well defensively, I fancy Tottenham to get to the final.

However, if Spurs do win this tie, I can see it spurring the Blues on to do well in the league and secure the Premier League title.

Chelsea vs Tottenham – FA Cup Score Prediction: 2-1 to Tottenham
