Mark Lawrenson says Manchester City will secure a point against leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night
The Blues have only lost two of their last 23 games in the Premier League.
Speaking to BBC Sport about the clash between the top-four rivals at Stamford Bridge, former Liverpool defender explained why Chelsea will settle for a point against Manchester City.
“Manchester City let Arsenal off the hook in their 2-2 draw at Emirates Stadium on Sunday,” Lawrenson said.
“The Gunners were so open, they were there for the taking. There is no way Chelsea will give them the same sort of room at Stamford Bridge.
“I actually think this is a game that Chelsea will look at as one they just must not lose, rather than have to win.
“That is the reason why I am backing City to get a point – which would be their fourth draw in a row.
“We know how good Pep Guardiola’s side are going forward but teams do not have to work that hard to score against them and until he gets that, whenever you watch City, your heart is always a bit in your mouth.”
