It was all going so well for the reds up until two weeks ago, when with ten men they were beaten 5-0 at Manchester City. Since then they have looked a shadow of the team that were scoring at will back in August.

The Reds looked unstoppable at the start of the season, but have really hit a lull in recent weeks. They are without a win in four matches, conceding 10 goals in that time.

Sadio Mane will return from domestic ban, and Coutinho is likely to make his first Champions League start of the season after scoring against Leicester. Lallana and Clyne remain injured, whereas Joe Gomez is suspended.
Spartak havev a few key absences, most notably star player Quincy Promes who was once a target for Liverpool. Brazilian attacker Pedro Rocha will also miss out through injury.
