The Africa Cup of Nations is the biggest football tournament on the African continent. It is participated by 24 of the biggest national soccer teams in Africa. This is the first edition of the AFCON where 24 teams will take part. This year, there are three teams who are making their debut in the tournament. They are Madagascar, Burundi and Guinea-Bissau.

This article also shows the groups in which each qualified team has been put in.

What is the Africa Cup of Nations?

The Africa Cup of nations is the main international association football competition in Africa. It is held by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and was first held in 1957. Since 1968, this tournament has been held in every two years. Egypt are the most successful team in the history of the competition with 7 titles. After them, Cameroon are the most successful team with 5 titles.
