Manchester United complete Odion Ighalo loan deal

Manchester United have signed striker Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua on loan until the end of the season. The deal contains no option to buy.  Ighalo will fly to the UK in the next few days. The 30-year-old Nigeria international has rejected Tottenham and Inter AC Milan in favour of the Red Devils.

Real Sociedad rule out Tottenham target Willian Jose’s exit

Real Sociedad have ruled out Willian Jose leaving the club today. The club said in a statement: “This last day of the market is about closing the exit of Ruben Pardo from the club. “In the winter market there will be no more movements in the current squad.” Tottenham had been chasing the striker.

Moussa Wague arrives at Nice on loan from Barcelona

Nice have signed 21-year-old right-back Moussa Wague. He has joined the French club on loan from Barcelona with a €10 million option to buy and variables of €500,000. The La Liga giants have included a buy-back clause of €15 million worth until summer 2021. They will also have the right of a first refusal. The first refusal might be activated no sooner than June 2021.

Brighton and Hove Albion sign Chelsea defender Tariq Lamptey

Brighton have signed 19-year-old defender Tariq Lamptey from Chelsea on a deal until 2023. The England U-20 international is a Blues Academy player. His contract was set to expire at the end of the season.

Manchester City loan defender Angelino to RB Leipzig

Angelino has joined RB Leipzig from Manchester City on loan until the end of the season. The Bundesliga leaders have an option to sign the 23-year-old permanently for €30 million in the summer. The Spanish left-back is a product of the City Academy. He only re-joined them in July 2019 from PSV Eindhoven.

Besiktas land former Barcelona loanee Kevin-Prince Boateng

Turkish giants Besiktas have signed Ghanaian international Kevin-Prince Boateng. The 32-year-old has left Fiorentina on loan until the end of the season.

AC Milan announce signing of Alexis Saelemaekers

AC Milan announce that they have acquired Alexis Saelemaekers on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.  The 20-year-old midfielder, who joins the Rossoneri from Anderlecht, will mainly act as a replacement for Suso. The Belgian side brought Marko Pjaca from Juventus as a replacement.

Marko Pjaca joins Anderlecht on loan

Juventus announce that they have sent midfielder Marko Pjaca on loan at Anderlecht. He will stay there until the end of the season. Sky Italia suggest the Belgian club retains an option for another season-long loan and a preferential option to buy the player outright.

AC Milan re-call defender Laxalt after Robinson failed deal

Diego Laxalt will be AC Milan’s backup left-back for Theo Hernandez, instead of Anthonee Robinson. The American international had even completed the medical for the Rossoneri, but ended up flying back to England this evening. That is why AC Milan have opted to call 26-year-old Uruguayan defender Laxalt back from his Torino loan.

Roma send Steven Nzonzi on loan to Rennes

Rennes have confirmed the arrival of midfielder Steven Nzonzi on loan from Roma until the end of the season. Rennes will pay the 31-year-old’s full wages for the remainder of the season. The Ligue 1 have the option to extend this loan by another season. The option will become active in case they qualify for the 2020/2021 Champions’ League campaign.

Wigan confirm Antonee Robinson to AC Milan is off

Wigan Athletic have announced that the proposed move of Antonee Robinson to AC Milan is off. The defender has returned to England and will spend the rest of the season with Wigan. The English side claim further medical tests were required which were subject to a 72-hour deadline. Thus, the deal could not be formally ratified before the 20:00 CET Italian transfer deadline.

Barcelona announce signing of Matheus Fernandes from Palmeiras

Barcelona announce that they have signed Palmeiras midfielder Matheus Fernandes worth €7 million, plus €3 million in variables.

The Brazilian will sign a five-year contract, with an included buy-out clause set at €300 million.

The 21-year-old will join Barca in July 2020.

Abel Ruiz leaves Barcelona for Braga

Barcelona have confirmed that Abel Ruiz has left the club and signed for Portuguese side Braga.

The 20-year-old joins on loan until the end of the season with an obligation to buy at a reported €8 million.

Barca also confirmed that Ruiz’s transfer includes a buyback option.

Ki sung-yueng terminates Newcastle contract

Ki sung-yueng has terminated his Newcastle deal by mutual consent today. His deal was due to expire at the end of the season. The 31-year-old is now a free agent. The South Korea international made a total of 23 appearances for the club.

Former AC AC Milan star Keisuke Honda joins Botafogo

Veteran Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda is joining Brazilian club Botafogo. The 33-year-old former Japan and AC Milan star made the announcement on his social media accounts on Friday. He is reportedly signing on a free transfer until the end of 2020.

Atalanta complete loan swoop for Adrien Tameze

Adrien Tameze joins Atalanta. The OGC Nice midfielder has completed a loan move until the end of the season with an option to buy for €8 million.

The 25-year-old spent three previous seasons at Nice, joining in 2017 from Valenciennes. The holding midfielder made 85 appearances for the Riviera-based club, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists in the process.

Iago Falque returns to Genoa on loan

Genoa have loaned Iago Falque from Torino, Il Grifone have confirmed. The Ligurian club have an option to buy the Spaniard.

The 30-year-old has chosen to wear No. 10 on his shirt.

Sheffield United land Richairo Zivkovic on loan

Sheffield United have completed another signing, loaning Richairo Zivkovic until the end of the season. The Blades have an option to buy the Changchun Yatai striker.

Yannick Carrasco returns to Atletico Madrid on loan

Atletico Madrid have confirmed the arrival of forward Yannick Carrasco on loan. The 26-year-old left the Rojiblancos in 2018 to sign for Chinese side Dalian Yifang. Diego Simeone’s side have loaned the Belgium international until the end of the season and have a €12.5m option to buy.

Barcelona confirm the arrival of Trincao

Barcelona have completed the signing of Braga’s striker Francisco Trincao. The 20-year-old will remain at the Portuguese club until the end of the season and will join the Catalans’ squad in July, signing a five-year deal. The Blaugrana have paid €31m for the starlet and have set his release clause at €500m.

Cedric Soares joins Arsenal on loan

Arsenal have made their second signing of the January transfer window, snapping up Cedric Soares on loan from Southampton. The Gunners paid an estimated £1m loan fee for the full-back even though his contract with the Saints expires in June. The Portuguese comes as a replacement for Hector Bellerin who struggles to return from injury.

Fiorentina land Igor & Duncan

Fiorentina have completed two signings on the deadline day, landing Alfred Duncan from Sassuolo and Igor from SPAL. The Sassuolo midfielder will initially join on loan with an obligation to buy in the summer for 15 million euros. The SPAL defender also moves on loan with an obligation to buy, however, the exact fee La Viola must pay is not reported.

Cavani to remain at PSG until end of season

According to L’Equipe, Edinson Cavani’s push for a January exit from Paris Saint Germain has been unsuccessful and the veteran striker will stay at Parc des Princes until his contract expires in June this year. It was reported on Thursday that Atletico Madrid, the main contenders for the Uruguayan’s signature, pulled out of the move due to the differences with Les Parisiens in the valuation of the 32-year-old.

While Chelsea and Man United were also said to be in the race for El Matador, he is supposedly less keen on joining them as he had set his heart on a switch to Wanda Metropolitana.

Hellas Verona announce loan signing of Federico Dimarco

Inter AC Milan full-back Federico Dimarco has joined Hellas Verona on loan, as the Gialloblu have confirmed via Twitter. The left-back spent the last season at Parma, making 13 Serie A appearances and scoring one goal. This term, he has barely kicked the ball for Internazionale, recording only 102 minutes of playing time across four games in Serie A and Coppa Italia.

Clearly not in Antonio Conte’s plans, the 22-year-old will hope to impress at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi before the season ends. Verona have an option to buy him for 5 million euros.

Atalanta land Sukalo and Bellanova

Atalanta have made a double signing. Raoul Bellanova (ex-Bordeaux) and Bosko Sutalo (ex-Osijek) will feature for La Dea from now on. Bellanova is a right-back. The Orobici have loaned the 19-year-old with an option to buy for 5 million euros.

Sutalo is a centre-back. The Bergamo-based outfit have landed him on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee. A very inventive presentation video from La Dea:
