Tottenham Hotspur monitor Everton star Jordan Pickford ahead of summer transfer window
Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford ahead of the summer transfer window. Following the recent severance of sponsorship relations with USM, he may be exposed to bids after this season.
In the summer transfer window, the Englishman would still have two years left on his present deal. It’s unclear whether Frank Lampard’s team would be prepared to split ways with him. They may opt to keep him while they rebuild under their new management.
However, if they are relegated to the Championship at the conclusion of this season, their financial problems might worsen. They are now one point above the relegation zone and face certain relegation. If that occurs, it remains to be seen whether we will be able to get a footing in that situation.
Tottenham want to find a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris, who is nearing the end of his playing career. Moving ahead, he would need to be replaced, but there are questions about whether Pickford is the appropriate guy for the job. After all, Tottenham are constructing a project under Antonio Conte, and we want excellent players that can assist Spurs in raising the bar.
Pickford would be a solid pick for a mid-table team, yet his performances have occasionally been dubious. Since a result, it would be better if we diverted our attention elsewhere, as the 27-year-old would not inspire confidence in between the posts.
