10. Kepa Arrizabalaga (Athletic Bilbao)

23 year-old goalkeeper Kepa has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Spain over the last few years, and is now the main back-up to David de Gea for the national team. His form has captured the attention of many teams, namely Real Madrid who according to MARCA are lining him up as a replacement for Keylor Navas next season. Kepa is an all round ‘keeper and has the personality and temperament to play at the top for many years.

Who is interested? Real Madrid and Arsenal

9. Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

Veteran winger Arjen Robben will be a free agent next summer if he doesn’t renew his contract with Bayern Munich. He may be well into his 30’s now, but still performs at the highest level and could be a good option for a number of Premier League clubs. He would command high wage, but his experience and quality is guaranteed.

Who is interested? Manchester United, Galatasaray, MLS

8. Leon Goretzka (Schalke)

It’s not just Bayern from the Bundesliga who have contract renewals to worry about. Schalke could lose not only Leon Goretzka but fellow young star Max Meyer in the summer if they can’t persuade them to put pen to paper. Goretzka in particular has attracted a lot of interest, particularly with his performances for the German national team for whom he has scored 6 goals in 12 matches. Both he and fellow international Meyer will have plenty of offers in the summer should they choose to move on.

Who is interested? Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal

7. Ander Herrera (Manchester United)

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is a fan favourite at Old Trafford, which is why it is a surprise that his contract has been allowed to run down as far as it has. There are rumours that the Spaniard has a clause to extend for one-year written into his contract, but if he doesn’t play at the World Cup he may opt to move back to La Liga in a bid to improve his national team chances. The 27 year-old would be a solid addition to any side, with a number of top teams said to be interested.

Who is interested? Barcelona, Atletico Madrid

6. Jose Maria Gimenez (Atletico Madrid)

Jose Gimenez is widely regarded as one of the best young defenders in world football, but even so he has failed to hold down a regular starting place in Atletico Madrid’s backline. It may be that the Uruguayan opts to move on in the summer in a bid for first team football, even though he has regularly reaffirmed his commitment to the rojiblancos. Still only 22, you would imagine that Gimenez is ready made for the Premier League due to his combative and aggressive style of defending.

Who is interested? Juventus, Manchester United, Arsenal

5. Emre Can (Liverpool)

Since moving to Anfield back in 2014, Emre Can has shown more than enough for former side Bayern Munich to rue ever letting him leave. The midfield powerhouse may look to move on in the summer with Liverpool’s faltering form. Although he insists that he is happy on Merseyside he did reveal in a recent interview that it was “an honour” to be linked with Juventus. The Italian champions are masters of exploiting the free transfer market, and are one of many clubs that will want to sign the German international.

Who is interested? Juventus, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United

4. Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus)

Giorgio Chiellini has been at Juventus since 2005 and has been without doubt one of the best defenders of the last decade. Despite that, he has still not agreed a contract with the Serie A side beyond next summer. He’s expected to renew, but a few years ago he revealed his desire to one day play in the MLS. Former boss Antonio Conte could also look to sign him for Chelsea. Also available on a free next summer legendary Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, although it’s almost certain that he will retire after the World Cup.

Who is interested? Chelsea, MLS

3. Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

Much has been made of Arsenal duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil’s contract situations. It looks more and more likely with each passing day that both players will leave – maybe even in January. Alexis would be a great signing for any team. He guarantees goals, assists and plenty of workrate, a combination that usually comes at a premium in the current market. Plenty of Premier League teams are interested, although PSG have also been linked as they look to find ways to sign quality players within Financial Fair Play restraints.

Who is interested? Paris St Germain, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea

2. Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

Of the two, Mesut Ozil looks more likely than Sanchez to renew with the Gunners, and although Arsene Wenger confirmed that the club are negotiating he did admit that the German could still choose to leave. The German international reportedly told teammates last week that he will join Manchester United in the new year. With Arsenal in the Europa League, he and Alexis would eligible for the Champions League should they leave in January.

1. Frank Ribery (Bayern Munich)

Frank Ribery has been one of the best players at Bayern Munich for a long time now. However, his time at the club seems to be coming to an end. With the injury keeping him out, and his age after being a factor, Bayern have signed James Rodriguez on loan with an option to make it a permanent deal. The French international is likely to be released in June, when his contract comes to an end.

Who is interested? Galatasaray, MLS sides and Chinese Super League clubs
