Liverpool centre-back Danel Agger has hinted that he could leave Anfield this summer, and admitted that he was unhappy last season.

The Dane made 23 appearences in all competitions last season, with a series of injuries halting his progress and proved a stumbling block while trying to nail a starting XI place in Bredan Rodgers’ side.

And the defender is refusing to rule out a move away from Anfield this summer,

‘How things turned out last season is not acceptable for me,’ he told Danish newspaper, BT.

‘It is no secret that I had problems last season and I am considering things.

‘I am here now and it is up to me to show the coach that I should play.

‘Many things can happen in football and I do not want to exclude anything.’
