Alexandre Pato set for Chelsea medical

Striker will undergo tests today

Chelsea will put Alexandre Pato through his paces in a medical today ahead of his proposed transfer.

The Brazilian striker is expected to complete a formal transfer to Stamford Bridge in the next 48 hours, and it’s believed that a medical will be taking place in London today.

The 26-year-old has already agreed to move to the Premier League side, and the two clubs have also agreed on a transfer fee, believed to be around £10million.

This news comes days after it was reported that Guus Hiddink had blocked the deal due to having doubts over Pato and what he can bring to the club.

However, he has seemingly changed his mind and a deal could be done and finalised as soon as tomorrow.

Pato would be Chelsea‘s first signing of this window and it would take a lot of pressure off Diego Costa, who is currently leading the line by himself due to Radamel Falcao being injured and Loic Remy being out of favour.
