Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has compared Jurgen Klopp’s playing style with the Brazil national team.

The 25 year old arrived at the Anfield this summer as Liverpool paid a whopping £67 million to AS Roma to acquire his services. A few eyebrows were raised since the Reds usually don’t splash that kind of amount for a player but the keeper has already justified his price tag with some excellent keeping skills as he hasn’t conceded a single goal in three Premier League matches so far.

The idea of having a ball playing keeper in a team is believed to be an added advantage as they participate in the attacking build up. Alisson does have the knack of launching attacks through his inch perfect pass and he seems to have perfected it under Klopp.

“I have fitted perfectly in the team and in the team’s style of play.

“[Liverpool] like [the goalkeeper] to participate in the offensive phase and in shaping the game from the back.

“It gives me a lot of confidence to play with my feet and I have to be focused for 90 minutes. It has similar characteristics to the [Brazil national team].

“In Rome I was already trying to help in shaping the game but the style was a little bit different to what we do at Liverpool.”
