Massimiliano Allegri has said that Mario Mandzukic is an “extraordinary” player.

The Croatian international led his side to victory as he hit the winner against AS Roma.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has hailed striker Mario Madzukic for hitting the winning goal in their contest against AS Roma. The Bianconeri went onto win the match by 1-0, courtesy of the Croatian marksman’s goal which he scored in the 35th minute of the match. The victory also helps Juventus to keep their spot at the top of the table in the Serie A.

The Italian gaffer said, “Mario is a key player. His combination of technical and physical attributes make him an extraordinary player.” The goal that Mandzukic scored against Roma was his first against them since he joined the Serie A champions.

Allegri also praised Argentine ace Paulo Dybala for his sublime form and prolific performances this season. He said he was also a key player and fared well against Roma, “Paulo fared well too. He allowed us to bring the ball out of our half.”

On the other hand, Roma have slipped to the 10th position on the league table after their defeat against Juventus, putting further pressure on their manager Eusebio Di Francesco. However, the gaffer himself was pleased with the way his side came back into the match after having a poor first half.

He said, “In the first 45 minutes we saw the same fear and insecurity of recent games, but after the break we overcame that.” Di Francesco added, “We battled with determination and used the ball a lot better.”
