Griezmann’s comments came before Atletico faced Bayern Munich in the final game of their respective Champions League group – while Atletico lost the game 1-0, they still go through to the knockout rounds as group leaders.
Speaking to Reviersport – via the Express – Griezmann had this to say about the World Cup winner:
“He’s an outstanding player. I rate his style of play, his passing quality and also that he always finds a solution with a long ball or a dribble. He’s elegant with the ball.
“I also liked Miroslav Klose, as a scorer with a nose for goal and strong on headers. I really liked how he tracked back.”
The Gunners are reported to be facing the problem of losing Ozil on a free transfer in the summer as he looks no closer to signing a new contract, with the Daily Mirror recently claiming he had his heart set on a move to Manchester United and had told team-mates he was confident of the deal going through.
