Antonio Conte: ‘This is why Eden Hazard did not play’

Antonio Conte has proved an update to Eden Hazard after the Belgian sat out Chelsea’s trip to Stoke on Saturday.

Hazard didn’t make the trip to Britannia Stadium and captain John Terry also missed out with a minor problem.

However, the Italian had outlined the seriousness of the problem ahead of the Blues’ clash with the Potters on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking to BBC Sport before the game Conte said: “During the press conference I spoke about two situations that I have to check and both Eden and John they have little problems but I preferd not to risk them in this game for that reason.”
