Arsenal have reportedly agreed a fee with Real Madrid for holding-midfielder Sami Khedira.

According to reports in Spain, The Gunners have had a £23million bid accepted from the Spanish giants, and this will become their second big Summer signing after wrapping up the deal for Alexis Sanchez from FC Barcelona on Thursday evening.

Arsene Wenger spent £32millon on signing the Chilean and is now looking to defensive reinforcements as he prepares to sign a right-back, a goalkeeper and also a holding-mid.

Khedira, who is close friends with all three of Arsenal’s Germans, has also been closely watched by Chelsea after Jose Mourinho grew fond of him during their time together in Spain at the Bernabeu, but due to the strong German contingency, a move to the Emirates Stadium may suit Khedira more.

The only stumbling block in a potential move is the £150k-a-week wage demands from the 27-year-old, but after splashing the cash twice in a year, Wenger may push the boat out once more in order to land another world-class talent.
