Wenger looking to get some serious summer business done early

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata looks to be closing in on a move to the Premier League as his agent opens up talks with Real Madrid.

How does that work? Well when Real sold Morata to Juve back in 2014, they instilled a £20 million buyout clause into his contract.

And they are going to take up that option to re-sign the Spain international, before selling him on to the highest bidder for profit.

The 23-year old’s representative, Juanma Lopez, has today been spotted at the Santiago Bernabeu where he is presumably discussing his client’s future.

Destination London?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is determined to be the highest bidder for Morata, or else he risks losing the centre forward to London rivals Chelsea.

If he eventually completes a move to the Emirates Stadium, he could be the Gunners’ second major signing of the summer.

Borussia Monchengladbach playmaker Granit Xhaka is believed to have been in North London this weekend to undergo a medical at the club.
