Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with Atletico Madrid over a potential deal for Alessio Cerci.

The 27-year old was one of the Gunners main targets in summer but instead of moving to the Premier League he instead decided to go to La Liga.

However, due to a lack of game time the Italian could already be on his way out, with Madrid willing to do a deal if a fee of £12m is agreed.

Inter Milan have also been interested in making a move for Cerci but it is Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal who are currently winning the battle to sign him.

Reports are claiming that the two clubs (Atletico and Arsenal) have already opened talks about a possible deal with a fee nearly agreed according to reports.

If talks are successful, then come January Cerci could be the latest player to make the move to the Gunners.
