Arsenal must fend off interest from other clubs to hope they can tie down defender Laurent Koscielny to a new contract.

It has risen that PSG and Bayern Munich are the two clubs monitoring the defenders situation as they are impressed by his recent form despite Arsenal’s slump. Koscielny is currently earning £50,000 a week, less than his defensive partners Per Mertesacker (£90,000 a week) and Thomas Vermaelen (£70,000 a week).

PSG and Bayern are reportedly willing to offer bigger deals that the Gunners. However, Arsenal are remaining hopeful that Koscielny will sign a £90,000 a week contract to match Per Mertesacker’s. Sources in France also claim that Manchester United have interest in the 28-year old centre-back.
