Arsene Wenger doesn’t want to risk the star burning out over the course of the season

Arsenal are ready to let Alexis Sanchez have a break over winter.

The Chile international is one of the Gunner’s key players and has featured in more games than any other Gunners player so far this season. Not only that but with all his international commitments, he hasn’t had a full summer off since 2013.

If he continues to play and train at the rate he has been doing, then it could lead to the player becoming increasingly tired and it is likely to lead to him picking up more injuries.

Winter break

Therefore, with Arsene Wenger hoping to have him fit and firing for the duration of the season, he is preparing to give Sanchez some extra time off over winter so that he avoids burning out.

By giving him some extra time off in the next few weeks, it could ensure that he gets the rest he needs to be able to keep producing top level performances over the next few months and at the end of the season as well.

Keeping Sanchez fit and able to produce good performances on a regular basis could be key to finally firing Arsenal to the Premier League title.
