Arsenal are in talks to sign both Newcastle left-back Matheiu Debuchy and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.
The move for Debuchy is reportedly at an advanced stage, with Newcastle understood to be wanting a figure of £10million for the player. On the other hand, The Gunners’ persuit of Sanchez is more complicated due to Barca’s interest in Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The Catalans want at least £25million for the Chilean.
Although it is thought that Sanchez would prefer a move to The Emirates, nothing will be resolved before the Suarez deal is finalised. Juventus are also thought to be interested in the winger. Left-back Debuchy would be replacing Bacary Sagna, who left Arsenal for Manchester City in June. Should the deal go through as expected, Newcastle would double the £5million they spent on the Frenchman last year.
